Week 36 - Take 2
We're nearing the end of this pregnancy and I can't wait. Sleep has become difficult lately. Trying to find a comfortable position is nearly impossible. My hips hurt when I stay on my sides for too long and my belly is too heavy to lay on my back all night. I spend most of the night tossing and turning. Thankfully Liam has improved greatly in the sleep department and has retreated to his own bed. I don't mind co-sleeping but with all the back/hip pain issues and the army of pillows that surround me, there just wasn't any space for the boy. Plus, it's nice to get a break from him at the end of the day. :-) Still, I'm definitely tired most of the day...though I suppose I should get used to it because we all know life with a newborn means sleep deprivation for all.
My midwife will be coming over to the house this week to do the home visit. Again, it's another sign that the end is near. I've organized all the birthing supplies in my mom and dad's room (where I plan on giving birth). All I need is the tub, which will be provided by my midwife and we're set. Alex says we should do some practice drills to see how fast we can inflate the tub and fill it with water. Hah. Everyone thinks the labor will go quickly. Liam's labor was about six hours from the time my water broke to the time he was born. I'm hoping for the same this time around!
Here is week 36...in my sweat pants and the bottom of my belly hanging out of my shirt. I sure know how to keep it classy!...
